Salmon River Report 9/8

published 08 September 2017

The Salmon River is running at 500 CFS Until 11:59 PM Sat SEP 09. With lots of rain last night and a nearly full reservoir that flow most likely will be increased.  Run off today from all the rain last night has left the river murky making it difficult to see fish in the water but a lot of fish were hooked today in spite of that. This morning a decent number of fish were reported  moving into the lower part of the river through the south channel by the DSR. The Salmon River still fished pretty well today in the lower half. The upper half seemed to be more hit and miss with some good reports and some bad. Fishing should continue to improve as we move towards the middle of September. There are a lot more fish in the river now then we had last year at the same time.
