Lake Ontario/Salmon River Report 8/30

published 26 August 2017

Salmon fishing on Lake Ontario continues to be outstanding, even after the hard winds we had mid week. There are a few Salmon in the river and some are being caught. This is encouraging to see even though the numbers are small so far. Look for things to pickup more after the water release this weekend. Every year is different but so far this looks like it should be a great river season. If you live close by and can't wait any longer you might get a fish in the Salmon River right now, if you live farther away I would hold off until we see more fish come in then we have right now.
