Salmon River Report

published 07 October 2014

The fishing today is slower than over the weekend with the run that came in on Saturday spreading out. The DSR reported slower action with not a lot of new Kings entering the river but there were a few more trout in the mix. The amount of fish in the estuary right now looks promising for another run this week. Temperatures will be in the 50's and 60's this week for highs with some rain possible. The water flow remains at 350 CFS until Midnight Friday 10/10. On another note we had a couple of people message us that they fished yesterday and disagreed with our call on the conditions, please be aware that we pass along the most accurate information we can. Posting a false report intentionally is something we wouldn't do and if you look back at our reports this year we haven't had a day we called more than a two on our scale until this weekend. The fish coming into the river are a moving target that we have no control over and they don't always do what we expect them to. Please take this info as our best projections, then add that to any other info you have to come up with a plan that works best for you.The fish are pretty spread out again so depending on where you are the river is somewhere between a 2 and a 3 on our scale today.
