Salmon River Report

published 08 October 2014

Fishing continues to be sporadic with a few spots with some action and others with slow conditions. A good spot one day is slow the next so its been a frustrating season up to this point. Temperatures are expected to be mostly in the mid to upper 50's for highs and a chance for a shower or two but no heavy rain over the next few days. The water flow is 350 CFS until midnight Friday 10/10. The best news from yesterday was that a good amount of Steelhead in the 8 to 12 lb class came up into the river. The first hour in the morning and just before dark continue to be the most productive times on the water.
