Salmon River and Lake Ontario Reports

published 11 September 2014

Nothing has really changed since our last report except the weather, which has turned much cooler with a lot of rain. The amount of Salmon coming into the estuary is about what it was two days ago. A few fish are being landed daily with most of those coming from the lower river. The water flow is at 350 CFS until midnight Friday 9/12, and the water temperature is 65 degrees. Even colder temperatures this weekend should move a few more fish into the river. The river remains a 2 on our scale.

The Lake Ontario fishing is excellent, but with high winds no one was able to get out today. The Lake is a 5 on our scale.
