Still Plenty of Steelhead in The Salmon River published 12 May 2014
The Salmon River water flow is 750 CFS until midnight today 5/12. There are still plenty of Steelhead around with very light fishing pressure.The best baits to use in the Salmon River right now are Trout Beads in size 10mm, Glo Roe, and Cream. The lake fishing is good from the Salmon River up to Stony Point with Browns being caught on Michigan Stinger UV Chicken Wing and UV Perch in the standard size, with some lake trout in the mix being caught on UV Tri Klops.
