8/21/20 It's about that time!

published 21 August 2020

After what seemed like forever the salmon have finally arrived east of the power plant.  A few days ago a large school of kings and coho salmon arrived in the shallow waters of Mexico Bay and are starting to get closer to the mouth of the river.  No fish have been reported in the river yet, and water temps continue to be high and levels continue to be low, but with recent rain and cooler temps at night that will hopefully change.  Lake fishing continues to be on fire and we got a huge order of Michigan Stingers recently including Flo Nascar Trans UV and PK, two very hot baits right now.

Smallmouth bass fishing continues to be redhot on the lake.  We have the XZone finesse slammer, rabid baits erie darter, and jackall dropshot baits in stock as well as lots of terminal tackle to get them on!
