Salmon River Report 9/25

published 25 September 2015

Well nothing much has changed today as we're continuing with the same weather pattern from yesterday. Fishing at the DSR today was below average with not many new fish coming in this morning. That being said there are fish in the river as you head upstream, with the Trestle Pool being at the head of the list today. The river flow continues at 350 CFS until midnight tonight. Most of the major pools on the river are holding some fish with early morning producing the best action for most fisherman. If you don't see fish moving after daylight and there aren't many in front of you, then your best bet will be to try another spot instead of staying put. Large bodied flies and egg sacs are good choices for salmon right now. There has also been a few Steelhead and Browns being caught along with the Kings and Cohos.
