Salmon River Report 9/22

published 22 September 2015

We have had very cold mornings the last few days but no rain. The river flow continues at 350 CFS until midnight tonight. If you like to fish the lower part of the Salmon river the best action has been in the middle to upper sections of the DSR, with first thing in the morning being the most productive time. Some fish are moving in the river but we're still waiting for the first big run to blast in. Fish are being caught throughout the river so don't be afraid to try some of the pools upstream as well including the fly zones. Large bodied flies and egg sacs are good choices for salmon right now.
