Salmon River Report, finally a real good run

published 04 October 2014

We just got a report that it's on in the lower DSR with steady fish running for over 4 hours this morning. It has slowed down now but it was a real nice run with lots of fish. The temperature is much cooler today with rain showers most of the day so far. The fishing up river may not change today but those fish will be there soon. The fish have made us wait but it seems they are finally ready to hit the river in good numbers. So this makes 4 days in a row that movement has been a lot better with today being the best by far. The water flow remains at 350 CFS until midnight Saturday 10/4.Today's high won't make it to 60 degrees and tomorrow is expected to be in the 50's also. Rain is possible everyday for the next week except tomorrow. Today is a 3 on our scale if you are fishing the DSR, with the rest of the river remaining a 2. That should change tomorrow.
