Salmon River Report

published 27 September 2014

Slow action and hot weather is what we have today. Another sunny day with temperatures in the upper 70's. We do have fish throughout the river but not in large numbers and the hot weather isn't helping. The deeper pools continue to produce the best after the first hour or so in the morning. Conditions aren't great but guys putting their time in are catching some fish, being on the river first thing in the morning has been the best bet for getting some action. The weather looks good for most of the week ahead with temperatures forecast in the 70's, and no rain for the next several days. The water flow remains at 350 CFS until midnight Saturday 9/27. On our scale the River remains a 2.

This is a shot looking straight down from the long bridge in town this morning.
