Salmon River and Lake Ontario Reports

published 15 September 2014

A very cold morning with temperatures in the high 30's overnight. This morning we had a decent but not great push of fish up into the river which is a good sign. There also were many more fish sighted in the estuary this morning then we have been seeing, which is good news.So we have fish scattered throughout the river with new arrivals this morning. Moving around still seems to be the best way to go with the limited amount of fish in the Salmon River right now. Today's high is expected to hit 67 degrees and a low tonight of 51. The water flow remains at 350 CFS until midnight Monday 9/15 and the river temperature is 59 degrees. We have rain in the forecast this week with Thursday's high not making it to 60 degrees. When those kings in the estuary make their run we will let you know. The river today is a 2 on our scale.

Not a lot of boats on Lake Ontario but the fishing is good. The Lake is a 4 on our scale.
