Lake Ontario and Salmon River Report published 05 September 2014
Lake Ontario fishing is very good with fish from 70-100 feet of water . The best baits have been green e- chip attractors with an A-Tom-Mik Kevin fly in the morning and then a pig pen e-chip with an A-Tom-Mik pro am x fly once the sun comes up.A few fish are being caught on a silver bullet #4 j plug. The lake continues to be a 5 on our scale.
The Salmon River is running at 335 CFS and we continue to see a few fish in the lower river along with a pod spotted in the trestle pool. The best bait so far has been single eggs and esztaz flies. The Salmon River is between a 1 and a 2 on our scale.
