Salmon River Drops to 1800 CFS published 25 April 2014
The Salmon River water flow is 1800 CFS until midnight tonight. Fishing has picked up with the water dropping back down. Two of the best pools on the Salmon River have been the Sportsman,and the Papermill. Best baits lately on the river have been 10mm atomic yellow bead, and blue egg sacs. Lake Ontario still is fishing well for Brown Trout from Mexico Point to the Salmon River in 8-20 feet of water. The best bait has been a Michigan Stinger Alewife spoon in the standard size.
