Salmon River Report 10/14

published 14 October 2016

The  river is running at 185 CFS until midnight tonight October 14th. The fishing is excellent with a good amount of fish throughout the river, the deeper holes are holding most of the fish once the sun gets up. The lower half of the river continues to hold the most fish with the low water conditions we have. Rain is in the forecast for Sunday and we can sure use it.There are some Steelhead and a few brown trout being caught along with the Kings and Coho's. Should be a great next couple of weeks. Best baits continue to be egg sacs and estaz flies.

Nice Coho caught this morning with Guide Tom Burke from Cold Steel Sportfishing
