Salmon River Report 10/9 We've got Kings now

published 09 October 2015

Finally we had a big run of Kings hit the river this morning along with a mix of Coho's ,Browns, and Steelhead which made for excellent fishing in much of the DSR today.Tomorrows fishing should be very good for much of the river at least into the middle section. Hopefully tomorrow we see the same amount of fish come in to really pack the river. These fish will continue to move upstream over the next few days improving conditions there also. The rain has pretty much stopped and we should have a dry weekend ahead with tomorrows high in the upper 50's and nights in the low 40's. Water flow remains at 350 CFS until midnight Saturday but below Pineville is about 600 CFS with the runoff. The lower half of the river should be a 4 on our scale tomorrow with the fish that came in today. How far up that goes will depend of course on how far the fish move tonight and tomorrow morning.
