Salmon River Report published 30 September 2014
Today we had the best push of fish we've had so far this season into the lower DSR. Nothing record breaking but a step in the right direction, lets hope it continues.Warm and sunny days continue with today's temperature hitting 82 degrees. There is a chance of a thunderstorm this afternoon, if we don't get that storm then rain and much cooler temperature are expected to arrive late friday night and into the weekend. Lets hope today's push of fish is backed up with another one tonight or tomorrow. Again less pressure on the fish mid week then we had over the weekend. Best chances at fish are to get up early and be on the river at legal fishing time, the first hour each day has been the best with the warm sunny days we have had.The deeper pools continue to produce the best after the first hour or so in the morning. The water flow remains at 350 CFS until midnight Wednesday 10/1. I'm leaving the river at a 2 on our scale until I see a repeat of this mornings push. Lets hope I can make it a 3 or better tomorrow.
