Lake Ontario Report

published 28 July 2014

The lake Ontario fishing for salmon has been pretty good from the power plant to Oswego in 130-175 feet of water. The best lures have been Chrome Davey Jones Locker with an A-Tom-Mik Pro Am fly. The brown trout fishing has been good with some big browns being caught in 80 feet of water in Mexico Bay. The best lures for the Browns have been Michigan Stinger Stingray size Glo Green Alewife, and the Black Widow. This is a huge brown caught by Redline Sportfishing in Mexico Bay, this brown took a Michigan Stinger Stingray Green Glo Alewife and weighed 19.2 pounds, for a chance to catch a trophy like this contact Captain Pat at 315-591-5699.
