Lake Ontario Report published 07 July 2014
Over the weekend the Lake Ontario fishing improved greatly with Kings finally showing up in good numbers. We now have big Browns in 30-60-feet of water and Kings in 130-170 feet of water with more out in 300-350 feet of water. The best lures for Browns have been blade runner spoons #44 size chartreuse flash and blue flash, best lures for the kings have been Michigan Stinger Stingrays in, Uv Die Hard, Johnny's Buster and the Black Widow. A-TOM-MIK Flies are also taking some nice Kings. A look at the LOC Leader board will show you that 7 out of the 10 biggest Salmon so far have been weighted in at Oswego.
