Drop backs are starting to show up as the weather warms up

published 11 April 2014

Water flow is 1800 CFS plus runoff. Fishing in the upper river has been most productive with a fair number of drop backs being caught. The small tributary's are also starting to fish well. Lake Ontario has finally opened up for trolling the shoreline for browns, you can also cast little Cleo's and stick baits from shore this time of year for brown trout. Best baits have been pink egg sacs, night crawlers and pink worms.
