Finally starting to feel like spring

published 08 April 2014

Water flow on the Salmon River is 1600 CFS. The Steelhead fishing remains best in the upper river. The lower Salmon river has been dirty due to the run off.Best baits have been size 10mm beads in Atomic yellow, pink worms, and chartreuse egg sacs.

Boats are starting to get out on the lake and catch some nice brown trout on stick baits and spoons. Smithwick stick baits are working great along with Michigan Stinger spoons.
