Salmon River Report

published 18 September 2014

Another day with just small movements of fish. We are getting the right weather for the fish to run the river but they're not cooperating. Fish are being caught but not many 3 fish stringers are showing up at the cleaning stations. Reports continue to come in that there are fish in the estuary but for whatever reason they aren't ready to run yet. The water flows remains at 350 CFS until midnight Thursday 9/18. There is a chance of a frost tonight with temperatures going down into the 30's. The Salmon River continues to be a 2 on our scale. The drift boats are hitting some Kings in front of the river mouths with late night trolls.
