Salmon River Report

published 19 September 2014

We started today with temperatures in the low 30's  and the high is expected to reach 64 degrees. We have had reports of a decent number of coho's mid river, from the Sportsman's Pool to about Pineville. The DSR is reporting slow fishing at the very bottom of the run with it being a little better in the middle and slow again at the top. The lower fly zone has some fish holding in that section of the Salmon River. Reports from the Estuary look like a good pod of fish may have moved in overnight as Salmon are being seen in much better numbers than yesterday. The water flows remains at 350 CFS until midnight Friday 9/19. Tomorrow is forecast to be nice with a high near 70, Sunday looks like rain. The Salmon River continues to be a 2 on our scale.
