River Report: 10/11/22

published 11 October 2022

This was one of the best Columbus Day/Indigenous People's Day we've ever seen!  Not only were there record numbers of people, the fishing was incredible!  Some people have even reported that there were more fish than people!

The river is fishing well from top to bottom (upper fly has fish in it) and there were still fresh coho and kings coming into the bottom of the run over the weekend.  We've also seen the first few steelhead of the year, some of them really big, and very difficult to land.  Browns continue to be caught as well.  Now is great time to come up, as the majority of the crowds are gone but there are still plenty of fish to be caught, the weather is great, and the early steelhead season is some of the best fishing you will ever do on the river!

Current conditions:

335 CFS at the damn

430 CFS at Pineville
