Salmon River Report 10/14

published 14 October 2015

The best action has been is in the upper half of the river the last couple of days, but all the rain we got yesterday pulled in a nice run of fish this morning. It was steady action at the DSR with mostly Kings coming in but a good mix of Steelhead with them. It wasn't a monster run but my good friend Tom Burke from Cold Steel Sportfishing called it a "nice working class run of fish", I think he's been watching to many political debates lately!  Anyway it's a nice addition to the fish already in the river. Lots of rain on the way with temperatures getting colder through the weekend, Saturday and Sunday won't get out of the 40's. Water flow remains at 350 CFS until midnight tonight but expect higher with the run off from the rain.
