Salmon River Report

published 01 October 2014

Well we didn't have as many fish come into the river today as yesterday but the good news is we still had fish coming in. Slow but steady was more like today's movement. So it adds some more fish to the ones already in the river which helps, lets hope it continues again tomorrow with even more fish. Once again we hit 80 degrees today with sunny conditions, it has started to cloud up this afternoon. We didn't get any rain yesterday but the forecast remains the same with rain coming very late Friday night and most of the day Saturday with much cooler temperatures. Getting up early and hitting the water at first light is still your best bet at action. The deeper pools continue to produce the best after the first hour or so in the morning. The water flow remains at 350 CFS until midnight Thursday 10/2. The river is still a 2 on our scale but its a better 2.
