Lake Ontario and Salmon River Report

published 25 August 2014

The Lake Ontario Salmon fishing from the Salmon River to the North Dunes has been really good. Salmon are in 80-140 feet of water and the best lures have been white green dot e-chips with an A-Tom-Mik Hammer fly, also the Pig Pen e-chip with the new Big Fin UV A-Tom-Mik fly. Salmon are being caught out of Oswego from 60 feet of water all the way out to 650 feet of water, cutbait behind Oki fish attractors has been hot. The lake gets 4 fish on our scale.

The Salmon River flow is 1500 CFS until midnight tonight 8/25,  and there has been a few Salmon spotted in the lower river but no big numbers yet. The river gets 1 fish on our scale.
